Santa Claus

On Christmas Eve Luke left his cookie out for Santa Claus. After going to my cousins house that night Luke was was wide awake and wanted to stay up and play with all his toys that he got earlier that day. I finally told him that Santa Claus wouldn't come unless he went to bed, so he was ready to go to sleep. In the morning I tried to wake him up to tell him that Santa had come but he didn't want to get out of bed. He is such a morning person that it was such a surprise. He actually pulled the covers back over his head. When he finally did get out of bed the first thing that he did was get his camera and told me he needed to take a picture of his Hummer. He finally made it out of the room to come look but he was too busy looking for his Hummer to notice anything in the living room. I think he was still half asleep. When he finally saw everything he got the biggest grin on his face. All he has been talking about for months was that he wanted a bike from Santa Claus. He didn't even notice his bike, all he saw was the Hot Wheels that I lined up on the couch and the Wall-E Leapster game. I had to bring him over to the bike and he got so excited. He climbed on and was trying to ride it in the apartment. It didn't take us long to go outside so he could really enjoy it. Christmas is so much fun with a 3 year old, I am just so lucky!!!

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve we always start out with our Christmas breakfast and then open presents. Andrew and Luke had so much fun and received a lot of presents. Luke was so excited with his hummer and camera that he got. Now he has his own camera that he can take pictures with and hopefully leave mine alone. He took a ton of pictures of Brady and his Hummer. He has already run his first set of batteries down. I might had a little photographer on my hands.

Christmas Party

Luke had his Christmas Party at school, they had a Christmas sing along. All the kids looked so cute, they had red noses and reindeer hats on. They were all so excited to be singing for us. Luke would not sit down, he kept trying to take all of his friends pictures. He would sing a line or two here and there. At one point they were singing Silent Night and he started singing Rudolph. There is never a dull moment with him! I did manage to get it all on video. I took him to mom & dad's after his party and Luke told daddy that he wasn't Luke that he was Rudolph. He took his part very seriously! I tried to wash his red nose off so we could go to the mall and he cried and told me that he was Rudolph. He won, I left the nose on the rest of the day.

My little Santa

Here's a couple of pictures of Luke decorating for Christmas. As you can see he had more fun playing in the Christmas Tree Box rather than helping me decorate the tree. Oh well, he looked so cute in the hat what can I say.

SNOW!!!

I can't believe it actually snowed here! I was so excited I woke Luke up and told him that it was snowing and told him to come look out the balcony. I had the door open and he walked to it and told me he didn't want to go outside because it was too cold. We finally went downstairs to play in the snow. I was trying to do the video camera and take pictures so I couldn't play with him at first. I don't think he knew what to do with it. I finally put the cameras down and threw a snowball at him. I wasn't sure what he would think about that but he started laughing so I did it again. I told him to make a snowball and throw it. He finally started getting the hang of it. We were not prepared for this weather so neither one of us had gloves. We would go outside for a couple minutes and go back inside to warm up and then go back down for some more snow time. Of course he had to bring a truck down with him to play in the snow. We tried to make a snowman but our hands were too cold to make anything resembling a snowman, I called it our snowblob. I did end up putting socks on his hands. It was so much fun enjoying this with him. Now anytime he sees snow on tv he tells me, "look mom there's snow like we had" and when we go outside he says, "no more snow". He really enjoyed it so much that maybe we need to plan a ski trip next year-he now has gloves and a hat!

Thanksgiving Party

Luke had his Thanksgiving party at school-all the parents brought food and we had a Thanksgiving feast. Before we ate they lined up and sang Thanksgiving songs, you could barely hear any of them but it was cute anyway. They made placemats for the table and on them they each put what they were thankful for. Everyone had sweet things to say, they were thankful for their parents, pets, grandparents...Luke was thankful for Buzz Lightyear. All of the other parents were laughing when they read it. His teacher even told me she asked him several times to make sure that was really what he wanted to put, apparently it was. I will have to keep that one!
